Rabbi Galai to Pray at Vilna Gaon's Tomb for Donors' Salvation

Rabbi Shimon Galai, a prominent Torah scholar, is embarking on a spiritual journey to Vilnius, Lithuania, to pray at the tomb of Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilnius (the Vilna Gaon). The trip, timed during the days of mercy and forgiveness leading up to Rosh Hashanah, is specifically to pray for individuals who donate to the "Kupat Ha'ir" charity organization. The tomb of the Vilna Gaon is historically recognized as a site where many miraculous salvations have occurred, attributed to the Gaon's immense scholarship and sanctity.

Rabbi Galai stated that he has personally witnessed numerous miracles at the site and is returning to intensify his prayers for those in need. He expressed his hope that all who require salvation will experience it by Hanukkah of the Hebrew year 5787 (late 2026), and that prayers will be answered swiftly. During the prayer service, Rabbi Galai will meticulously mention each individual's name who has submitted it.

Individuals seeking blessings for health, livelihood, marriage, children, contentment, or any other form of salvation can have their names included in the special prayers at the holy site by donating to Kupat Ha'ir.
