Singer Marina Maximilian Cancels Ariel Sharon Park Concert Due to Severe Weather

Israeli singer and actress Marina Maximilian was scheduled to perform tonight at the open-air venue "Skyline" in Ariel Sharon Park. The event was set to open its doors at 19:30 with Maximilian taking the stage at 21:00. However, just hours before the concert, organizers announced the show would be postponed due to strong winds and adverse weather conditions expected in the area. The safety engineer did not grant approval for the event to proceed, citing the hazardous weather forecast.

Maximilian informed her fans via social media, stating, "Dear ones, an important announcement: the concert cannot take place tonight due to meteorological warnings and strong winds. Unfortunately, we do not have safety approval to hold the event." Ticket holders were notified that the postponement was for their safety, and a new date will be announced soon. The singer emphasized this was a delay, not a cancellation, adding, "We are already finding an alternative date and will update you. Take care, love you."

This decision comes amid an unusual weather system affecting Israel at the end of August, bringing local rain showers mainly in the north and center, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds reaching up to 70 km/h. There are also concerns about localized flooding in some areas. The weather has disrupted other events as well, including the "Records in Garages 3" festival in Ramat Hasharon, featuring artists like Alon Olearchik and Izhar Cohen, which was also postponed due to the forecasted conditions.
