Gantz Denies Seeking Job Offers After Reports of Exit Proposals from Change Bloc

Following a report by Walla that senior members of the Change Bloc offered Blue and White leader Benny Gantz various future roles outside the government and Knesset in exchange for withdrawing from the elections, Gantz confirmed on Saturday in an interview with Channel 12's "Meet the Press" that he did receive such offers. However, he strongly rejected the notion that he is "looking for a job," expressing indignation at suggestions he be appointed ambassador, saying, "Are you not ashamed? Do you know what I have at home? How can you send me abroad?" He urged people to stop with such ideas, emphasizing his focus remains on political work.

According to Walla, the proposals stemmed from the Change Bloc's assessment that Gantz might struggle to pass the electoral threshold amid declining poll numbers. The bloc also wants to redirect Blue and White's significant financial resources to other allied parties, such as Hili Tropper's faction. A senior bloc official said, "Gantz was IDF Chief of Staff and Defense Minister. We want to give him a dignified way to retire. It's a shame he refuses."

Blue and White responded by denying any such offers were made, stating, "There was no such proposal and nothing to offer. Gantz continues his mission to unite the third bloc parties and work toward forming a broad Zionist government capable of addressing the country's challenges and leading to peace among us."
