Two Killed and One Critically Injured in Western Galilee Car Crash

On Saturday afternoon, a serious car accident occurred on Road 854 near Lapidot in the Western Galilee, resulting in two fatalities and one person critically injured. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams confirmed the deaths of two individuals at the scene and evacuated the third victim in critical condition to the hospital.

This incident follows a series of severe traffic accidents in Israel over recent days. On Friday, a 30-year-old woman was critically injured in a three-vehicle collision on Road 2414 near the moshav Padua, close to Ofakim. She was transported by MDA teams to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.

Earlier on the same day, two men were injured in a crash on Road 4 near the entrance to Kibbutz Ein Carmel, close to Atlit; one man in his 60s was seriously hurt, while another in his 40s sustained moderate injuries.

Additionally, two days ago, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Road 65 near Afula. MDA responders found the pedestrian without signs of life and pronounced him dead at the scene.

These incidents highlight ongoing road safety challenges in northern and southern Israel, with emergency services actively responding to multiple severe accidents within a short timeframe.
