Asaf Hertz Releases New Single About Faith and Inner Peace
Musician and actor Asaf Hertz released a second single on Monday, ahead of his first album, which is expected soon. The new song, "How Much There Is Still to Learn," reflects the gap between chasing success and recognition and seeking simple inner calm.
Hertz, who has recently returned to religious observance and become a Chabad Hasid, said the song sums up a years-long personal journey. "I understood that the pursuit of achievements does not necessarily bring peace and happiness," he said.
He added that connecting inward, to the soul, faith, and love of others, opened a new way for him to view life. "I wish for myself and for all of us to look at each other with a good eye, like a close family," he said.
In a post on his Instagram account, Hertz also shared part of the lyrics: "In the end, you are like every other person. You are happy only when you are not inflated and the heart opens again to someone else." Hertz is known as a children’s and youth star from many series and stage productions, and in recent years he has spoken publicly about using a kosher phone and appearing in a video holding a Nokia phone with emotion for the first time beside an image of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
