Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Awaits Trading Open After Positive Wall Street Close
The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) is preparing to open for the last trading day of the week following a positive close on Wall Street. The Dow Jones rose by 0.2%, the S&P 500 increased by 0.7%, and the Nasdaq surged 1.6% in the previous session. Oil prices showed a slight decline of about 0.5% this morning. The 10-year US Treasury yield remained steady at 4.68%, while the 10-year Israeli government bond yield stood at 3.83%. Leading TASE indices are on track to close a green week, with the TA-35 up 0.5%, TA-125 up 0.9%, and the TA Banks index rising 1.2% since the start of the week.
Global markets are awaiting the Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell's speech at the Jackson Hole symposium later today. Any significant market reaction could influence investor sentiment in Tel Aviv, with time to respond when trading resumes on Monday morning. Aura and Mivtach Shamir are expected to release their financial reports, while companies such as Preshkovsky, Issta, Hamat, Rafek Energy, Rami Levy Real Estate, and Atrao Capital Markets have already published earnings following yesterday's close.
Yesterday, TASE closed positively with the TA-35 gaining 1.2%, TA-125 up 1.3%, TA Banks rising 0.2%, TA Construction jumping 3.3%, and TA Technology increasing 2.2%. Notably, Delek Automotive surged 18% after controlling shareholder Gil Agmon bought additional shares. Supported by strong earnings from Nvidia and CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks climbed 10.6%, Tower Semiconductor rose 5.4%, Nova increased 3.8%, and Camtek strengthened 3.4%. Conversely, Shufersal fell 7.3%, Ackstein lost 7.5%, and Israel Canada jumped 8% after their earnings reports.
