Lecce Considers Alternative Winger as Hapoel Tel Aviv Blocks Satu Toriel Transfer

Italian club Lecce has shown serious interest in Israeli winger Satu Toriel, but the transfer faces significant hurdles after Hapoel Tel Aviv rejected Lecce's initial offer. Despite Toriel's desire to move to Lecce, the Israeli club remains firm in keeping their star player, complicating negotiations and casting doubt on whether Lecce will submit another bid.

Due to Hapoel Tel Aviv's refusal to sell Toriel, Lecce has started targeting another winger, Abraham Marcus, a 26-year-old Nigerian player from Portuguese side Estrela Amadora. Lecce's sporting director, Stefano Trinchera, has noted the club's history of signing multiple players from Estrela Amadora, including four recent transfers, making Marcus a viable alternative.

Toriel, who joined Hapoel Tel Aviv from M.S. Ashdod about two and a half years ago, has become a key player for the team, scoring 33 goals and providing 12 assists. He played a crucial role in Hapoel Tel Aviv's promotion season and their qualification for European competition. While Lecce's interest remains strong, the deal is complex, and the club is also exploring other options beyond Toriel.
