Israeli Police Seize Trucks and Forklifts Worth 3 Million Shekels in Rahat Logistics Raid

Israeli police confiscated two trucks and two forklifts valued at approximately 3 million shekels during a raid at a logistics site in Rahat on Tuesday. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation against a local resident and was conducted by the Negev District Anti-Money Laundering Unit, Rahat police, and representatives from the Land Enforcement Authority and Tax Authority, including VAT and Enforcement officials from Beersheba.

Authorities suspected the site was used for unauthorized commercial activities, including the illegal movement of goods, violating land use regulations. During the inspection, police detained an individual believed to be staying illegally in Israel after he attempted to flee the scene from one of the forklifts. He was taken to Rahat police station for further questioning.

The seized vehicles were towed away as part of economic enforcement measures targeting assets and infrastructure allegedly used for illicit activities. This action aligns with broader police efforts in southern Israel to disrupt criminal economic networks by seizing property and vehicles alongside criminal investigations.
