Belz Rebbe of Beit Shemesh Sponsors Grandson's Bris in Jerusalem Synagogue
The bris ceremony for the eldest grandson of the Belz Rebbe of Beit Shemesh was celebrated at the Shidlovtza synagogue in Jerusalem. The child is the firstborn of Rabbi Shlomo Leib, son-in-law of Rabbi Aharon Halevi Wozner. The mohel was Rabbi Yaakov Meir Schechter, who also recited the blessings. The Belz Rebbe of Beit Shemesh served as the sandek, sitting on his late father's chair, the 'Lehevet David' Rebbe of Beit Shemesh, draped in the tallit of his grandfather, the 'Chelkat Yehoshua' Rebbe of Belz. The grandfather, Rabbi Aharon Wozner, honored the chair of Elijah, while Rabbi Shaul Goldman of Zvhil and Rabbi Yosef Goldman also held honored positions during the ceremony. The Shidlovtza Rebbe stood during the blessings. The baby was named Shmuel, after the grandfather Rabbi Shmuel Halevi Wozner, known as the 'Shevet Halevi.' Following the bris, the rebbes and rabbis joined for a celebratory meal.
