Eran Zahavi and Shalom Michaeli-Shvili Compete in Samsung Galaxy Z Launch Padel Tournament

Samsung hosted a celebratory padel tournament at A Padel club in Savyon to launch its new foldable Galaxy Z series, including the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Flip8. The event featured Israeli sports and entertainment stars such as footballer Eran Zahavi, singer Shalom Michaeli-Shvili, football coaches Barak Bachar and Ran Ben Shimon, gymnast Alex Shatilov, and others. Samsung Israel CEO Ryan Choi and company executives also attended.

The tournament was held on the home court of tennis player and A Padel co-founder Andy Ram, who expressed excitement about combining his two dreams: playing tennis and hosting a Samsung event. The winning pair was awarded the new Galaxy Z Fold8 smartphone, raising the stakes and competitive spirit among participants.

Eran Zahavi, who has been playing padel for about a year, expressed enthusiasm for the sport's social and addictive nature and welcomed the prize. Shalom Michaeli-Shvili brought a humorous and confident attitude, engaging in playful trash talk with his partner Andy Ram and joking about their chances. Michaeli-Shvili even coined their team name "Andy Shvili" and shared a lighthearted exchange with his father about Ram's current form.

Throughout the event, guests experienced the new devices’ multitasking and AI features, posed for photos around the branded venue, and enjoyed a dinner prepared by chef Yinon Elal from the Lonely restaurant. While the winners took home the new Galaxy Z Fold8, Michaeli-Shvili’s spirited banter made him a standout figure of the evening.
