Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5, the public version of its Mythos model, through the Claude API and Enterprise plans. The company said the model includes strict safety limits in sensitive areas such as cyber, biology, and chemistry, and that it blocks those requests and falls back to Claude Opus 4.8. The model costs twice as much as Opus 4.8 and comes as Anthropic prepares for a possible IPO.
