Israeli Police and IDF Uncover Hidden Weapons and Stolen Vehicles in Hebron and Yatta

A coordinated operation by Israeli police detectives and IDF soldiers in the West Bank led to the discovery of concealed weapons and stolen vehicles, along with multiple arrests. The operation began on Wednesday in the heart of Hebron, following precise intelligence from the Hebron intelligence coordinator. Upon arrival, forces used advanced technology to detect a vehicle attempting to flee, quickly sealing off the area for a thorough search. Under an olive tree, they found a ready-to-use shotgun, ammunition, handcuffs, and a cellphone. Two Hebron residents, aged 23 and 50, were immediately arrested and taken for questioning.

The operation extended to the nearby town of Yatta, where forces pursued stolen vehicles hidden in the area. They located three stolen cars: a Hyundai with tampered chassis and engine numbers, a recently stolen Lexus from the Gush Dan area, and a Toyota also stolen from the same region. The Toyota was found concealed deep within a wooded area to evade security forces. Two additional suspects, a 23-year-old from Yatta and a 24-year-old from Bnei Na'im, were detained for their involvement in hiding the vehicles.

This operation is part of an ongoing, intensive effort by Israeli security forces in the West Bank to combat serious crime, terrorism, and illegal arms possession. The joint efforts of the Israeli Police, IDF, and Border Police include continuous intelligence gathering aimed at preempting criminal activities and dismantling networks exploiting the terrain to avoid law enforcement.
