Delta Airlines Resumes Daily Direct Flights Between Tel Aviv and New York in September

Delta Airlines is set to restart its direct flight route between Tel Aviv and New York starting in early September, offering Israelis an additional option for travel to one of the most popular U.S. cities. The first flight from New York's JFK Airport to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport is scheduled for September 6, arriving the following morning. The return flight from Tel Aviv to New York will depart on September 7 and arrive later the same day. Delta plans to operate this route daily using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, which feature multiple cabin classes including Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main Cabin.

Round-trip ticket prices vary depending on the travel dates. For example, a four-day round-trip flight departing on September 6 can cost over $2,500, while flights around September 20 are priced at approximately $1,600. Traveling further out to November can reduce the fare to about $1,488. Despite these options, prices remain relatively high. Delta's return follows a reassessment of its operations in the region amid recent security concerns. The airline emphasized that passenger and crew safety remains its top priority and that it will continue monitoring developments and adhere to official guidelines.

For Israeli travelers, Delta's resumption adds a valuable alternative for direct flights to the U.S., especially as the availability of direct flights is still affected by the security situation and airline policies.
