Following a summer of high airfare prices due to limited low-cost airline options and reduced competition, travelers from Israel can now find significantly cheaper flights for the upcoming months of November through January. A recent survey of flight prices reveals one-way tickets starting at approximately 18 euros (around 60 shekels) with low-cost carrier Wizz Air, which ranks fourth in passenger share at Ben Gurion Airport after Israeli airlines.

Among the cheapest destinations is Larnaca, Cyprus, where November flights cost about 18 euros one-way and round-trip tickets can be as low as 42 euros (about 150 shekels). Italy is also accessible at budget prices, with flights to Sicily in January priced around 40 euros one-way (139 shekels) and round trips near 80 euros (280 shekels). Palermo, Sicily’s capital, offers similar rates. Naples is another Italian destination available for roughly 45 euros one-way (156 shekels) and 91 euros round-trip (312 shekels).

For travelers seeking Eastern Europe, Varna in Bulgaria is available at about 50 euros one-way (170 shekels) and 99 euros round-trip (340 shekels). These prices highlight how travel dates and flexibility can dramatically reduce flight costs compared to peak summer months.

However, travelers should note that these base fares often exclude additional fees for checked or carry-on baggage and seat selection, which can increase the total cost. Careful price comparisons and awareness of extra charges are advised before booking to avoid unexpected expenses.
