Suspect in Caucasian Gang Leader's Killing Has 38 Prior Convictions

The suspect accused of assassinating Yanis Yushebaev, the leader of a Caucasian gang, has a criminal record comprising 38 prior convictions. In April, he was arrested on suspicion of throwing a fragmentation grenade into a residential home in Beit She'an. His extensive criminal history includes property crimes, break-ins, drug offenses, threats and violence, possession of weapons and knives, obstruction of justice, and violations of legal orders. Over the years, he has served both actual and suspended prison sentences, some of which were activated following new offenses. Additionally, he was convicted in several cases involving cattle theft, often involving trespassing on agricultural land and collaborating with others.
