Yosef Hadad Joins Amcha Israel Party, Aims to Be First Arab in Israeli Security Cabinet

Yosef Hadad, a public advocacy activist, announced his entry into politics by joining the Amcha Israel party, led by retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter, where he will hold the second spot on the party list. At the party's launch event on Tuesday evening, Hadad outlined his political goals, prominently including the reestablishment of the Government Information Office as a major ministry with a substantial budget. He emphasized that public diplomacy is integral to Israel's security and the fight against international pressure and incitement.

Hadad declared his ambition to become the first Arab member of Israel's political-security cabinet. He stated that as a proud Israeli Arab familiar with Middle Eastern mentalities, he can challenge the security establishment from within. Together with Winter, whom he introduced as Israel's next defense minister, Hadad committed to pursuing decisive victories on all fronts.

Hadad also sharply criticized current Arab Knesset members, asserting that he aims to replace them. He stressed the need for representatives who prioritize the Israeli Arab community rather than Gaza, Jenin, or Ramallah. He made clear there would be no cooperation or dialogue with those who harm the state or incite against IDF soldiers. Hadad concluded his speech by calling for national resilience, faith in the justness of their cause, and declaring that Amcha Israel will be a nightmare for Israel's enemies from Tehran to Gaza.
