Shmulik Sukot Leads Emotional Selichot Prayer with Special Needs Children in Unique Music Video

A key segment of the Selichot music video by Shmulik Sukot was filmed at the 'Special Child Home' of the 'BeLev Echad' organization in Beitar Illit. Sukot held a heartfelt Selichot prayer session with the organization's children, some wrapped in prayer shawls, who prayed and sang along with him with deep devotion. The emotional scene captured the children, described as innocent of sin, pleading in tearful prayer, moving even the most indifferent attendees to tears. The production and musical direction were led by producer Isaac Gefen and Sukot's musical manager Neta Levin.

Another part of the video was shot at BeLev Echad's large annual summer event in Holon, the world's biggest gathering for special needs children and their families, attended by over 8,000 people. There, Sukot performed the same Selichot melodies alongside the Neshamah choir, conducted by Itzik Filmer, and an expanded orchestra under Maestro Benny Laufer, who meticulously arranged and refined the music. Isaac Gefen also oversaw the event's production, ensuring it was perfectly tailored for the children and families.

The final video seamlessly combines the intimate moments at the special child home with the grandeur of the large event, highlighting the children as central participants who bring their pure emotions and voices to the prayers and melodies. Released during the month of Elul and the Selichot period, the project aims to raise awareness about special needs children and connect audiences to their world through genuine emotion. For the children, the experience was not just a video shoot but a profound, authentic moment of spiritual connection and joy.
