Health Ministry: Two Children Hospitalized After Eating Prinook Fruit Purée
Israel’s Health Ministry said two children were hospitalized after consuming baby fruit purée sold under the Prinook brand. The product was bought at branches of the Zol U’Vagadol supermarket chain, and only as individual units, not in a multi-pack.
At this stage, the ministry said it cannot determine with certainty whether there is a connection between the hospitalizations and the product. Even so, it urged parents who fed their children the purée to monitor them closely for any change in behavior.
The ministry said warning signs may include sleepiness, exhaustion, or confused speech. Parents are asked to contact their child’s pediatrician and to call the Health Ministry hotline at 5400* if they notice such symptoms.
