Natalie Dadon Defends MK Tzvi Succot After Controversial West Bank Monument Demolition

MK Tzvi Succot sparked controversy after leading a tour in the West Bank village of Madama, where he began demolishing a monument honoring Palestinian attackers. The Israeli military stated the action was conducted without prior coordination and against an approved protocol. Succot justified the demolition by arguing that such monuments glorify terrorists and inspire youth to emulate them, calling for their removal as part of the fight against terror.

Social media influencer Natalie Dadon strongly supported Succot, criticizing those condemning the act and accusing them of being blinded by political bias. She stated, "Tell me, have you gone crazy?!" and insisted that removing the monument was long overdue justice for the victims. Dadon also expressed concern that such memorials encourage children to aspire to violence against Jews.

The IDF condemned Succot's unauthorized actions, highlighting that troops assigned to operational duties were diverted to secure the event, putting them at unnecessary risk amid ongoing military pressures. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also weighed in, emphasizing that the IDF is the sole authority responsible for security operations in the West Bank and that public officials taking the law into their own hands undermines military efforts against terror and incitement.

Succot had previously appealed to the IDF to remove terror monuments across the region, describing them as glorifying murderers of Jews. The incident has drawn sharp criticism from both coalition and opposition Knesset members, underscoring tensions over handling such sensitive issues in the West Bank.
