Iran Threatens NATO Member Bulgaria Over US Military Support, Raising Global Tensions

The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson issued a stark warning to Bulgaria, a NATO and EU member, accusing it of aiding US military operations by allowing American KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft to operate from its territory. The spokesperson condemned Bulgaria's actions as violations of international law and described them as support for what Iran calls US and Israeli military aggression against Tehran.

Iran emphasized that such involvement constitutes an act of aggression under international law and warned other countries hosting US or Israeli military assets that facilitate attacks on Iran to reconsider their positions. The spokesperson clarified that Iran harbors no hostility toward the Bulgarian people but holds the government accountable for enabling hostile military actions.
