Yisrael Beiteinu Adopts Netanyahu’s 2009 Campaign Slogan for Liberman

Yisrael Beiteinu has unveiled a new campaign slogan for Avigdor Liberman ahead of the upcoming elections: "Strong on Security, Strong on Economy." However, this exact phrase was previously used by the Likud party during the 2009 Knesset elections to promote Benjamin Netanyahu. At that time, the slogan was prominently displayed alongside Netanyahu’s image to emphasize his experience and capability in the two key areas of security and economy. Now, 17 years later, Yisrael Beiteinu has chosen the same wording and structure to position Liberman similarly. The reuse of this slogan highlights a direct borrowing from Netanyahu’s campaign messaging, underscoring the political rivalry between the two leaders.
