Former Labor Ministry Director General Teair Ifergan Joins Gadi Eisenkot's Party

Teair Ifargan, the former director general of the Labor Ministry and a senior figure in the public service, is joining the Yashar! party led by Gadi Eisenkot. In a statement from the party, it said Ifargan is one of the most influential and respected figures in Israel's public and social service sector over the past decade, and that she led the shaping of the labor market, a revolution in Haredi employment, as well as vocational training and the network of technological colleges in both routine and emergency times.

In 2021, she was appointed director general of the Labor Ministry. In that role, she managed the adaptation of the labor market to the post-COVID reality and pushed for changes to labor laws in Israel, including promoting hybrid models and reducing regulation. She has served on boards of directors and in various key positions. Her work led to her being named to TheMarker magazine's 100 most influential people list and Globes' list of 50 most influential women.

Ifargan, 46, is married and the mother of three daughters. She was born and raised in Ramla and served in the IDF as a basic training company commander. She is a graduate of the
