Eisenkot’s Party Adds Former Labor Ministry Director General Teair Ifrgan
The Yeshar! party announced today, Wednesday, that Teair Ifrgan, a senior public servant and former director general of the Labor Ministry, who currently serves as CEO of the Partnership of Philanthropic Funds for the Development and Growth of the North and the South, is joining Yeshar!, headed by Gadi Eisenkot.
In the party’s statement, it said that “Ifrgan is one of the most influential and respected figures in Israel’s public and social service sector over the past decade, and one who led the shaping of the labor market, a revolution in Haredi employment, as well as vocational training and the network of technological colleges in routine and emergency times.”
Former IDF chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot also commented on the appointment: “Teair is an example and model of the public service that the State of Israel needs. Teair brings important professional experience, a deep understanding of the engines of growth in the economy and the ability to lead the required national reforms.” He added that “she is part of the new leadership that Israel needs, one that will lead the restoration of the public service in Israel, for a strong, honest and professional service that sees only the good of the citizens of Israel.”
Ifrgan herself said in a statement about joining the party: “The State of Israel is at a point of internal rupture that requires us to return professionalism, integrity and long-term vision to the center of government action.” She added that “throughout my path, in public service and in civil society work today, I believed that the professional echelon must serve as the backbone of the state, hold up a mirror, warn when needed and work solely for the public.”
“I decided to take the step and move from the professional and social arena to the political arena together with Gadi Eisenkot, because I understood that at this time we need measured, statesmanlike and responsible leadership, that will know how to restore the state’s systems, heal the rifts in society and lead Israel to economic and social safety, and Gadi can do this in the best possible way,” Ifrgan concluded.
Ifrgan, 46, holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations and a master’s degree in public policy. She has held a series of positions in the Economy and Industry Ministry and served as director of the Governmental Authority for Technological Education, Machat. In 2021 she was appointed director general of the Labor Ministry. She has also served on boards of directors and in various key positions.
In another post on Gadi Eisenkot’s official account on X, a video appeared with clips of Netanyahu, while the background listed Netanyahu’s “achievements” over the past three years. According to the video, Hamas still has 35,000 armed men, Iran still has enriched uranium, and the cost of living is at a peak.
