Zotshka Hasidim Celebrate Young Rebbe's Torah Ceremony and Festive Parshpil

Last Sabbath, the Zotshka Hasidic community joyfully marked the Torah aliyah and the 'Parshpil' celebration for the youngest son of the Zotshka Rebbe, who is also the grandson of the Shatz Rebbe. The groom married the daughter of Rabbi Yehoshua Heshel Tversky, son of Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Tversky, the Av Beit Din of Chernobyl Elad, and son-in-law of the Rebbe of Biala Yashri Lev.

On Friday night, during the uplifting Shabbat Tisch, a large crowd gathered. The Zotshka Rebbe introduced two new melodies: one inspired by the verse "One thing I ask" in honor of the Days of Awe, and a joyous tune composed just before the Tisch. The highlight came at Mincha and the Reuven Deravin prayer, when the Rebbe played sacred melodies and delivered a heartfelt, tearful Torah discourse, preparing the hearts of attendees for the month of Elul and the upcoming joyous occasion, including words of blessing for the groom.

The celebration continued with a spirited Parshpil featuring drums, dancing, and holy rejoicing, attended by Rabbi Yaakov Mordechai Tversky, the Chernobyl Elad Av Beit Din. The event concluded with Maariv, Kiddush Levana, and Havdalah. Photographer Shuki Lerer documented the festivities.
