Yeshiva Students Fully Fund Second Wedding for Beloved Staff Member After Wife’s Passing

Reuven Kastelio, the long-serving and respected operations manager of the Or Elchanan Yeshiva in Jerusalem, lost his wife after a prolonged illness ten months ago. Recently, Kastelio remarried, and his second wedding became a remarkable display of genuine kindness and mutual support from the yeshiva’s students. Over many years, Kastelio was a central figure at the yeshiva, tirelessly attending to its needs and supporting the students. To honor his dedication, the students decided to fully fund his wedding, covering all expenses to allow him to start anew without financial worries.

Two devoted students, Pinchas Rotenberg and Yisrael Rakovsky, took on the complex task of organizing the entire event. They invested countless hours coordinating details and raising a substantial sum to cover the chuppah, venue, and all preparations. Their goal was to provide Kastelio with peace of mind so he could focus on celebrating this new chapter in his life.

The wedding took place at the Heichal David hall near the yeshiva and was attended by hundreds of students, alumni, and guests. The ceremony was led by the yeshiva head, Rabbi Eliezer Tzvi Winfeld, who emotionally blessed the groom and praised the students for exemplifying the core value of mutual responsibility within the yeshiva community.
