Netanyahu Warns of Global Drone Threat, Orders IDF to Target Operators and Launch Sites

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a warning about the growing global threat posed by drones, highlighting their potential as precise and destructive weapons on modern battlefields. In a video posted on his official social media accounts, Netanyahu held a model of an advanced F-35 fighter jet and rhetorically asked viewers if they have a drone at home, illustrating how even small drones can be highly dangerous, especially when deployed in armed swarms that are difficult to detect and penetrate defenses.

Netanyahu explained that Israel has been developing technological and operational responses to this challenge for several years, emphasizing that despite Israel's advanced capabilities, the drone threat is a widespread global issue affecting all modern combat zones. He pointed to extensive drone use in conflicts worldwide, notably in the Ukraine war, as well as in nearby regions such as Lebanon and Iran, and warned of repeated attempts to introduce such technologies into the Gaza Strip.

Concluding his remarks, Netanyahu issued a firm directive to Israel's security forces and the IDF to adopt an aggressive and defensive policy: to strike drones, target their operators, and neutralize their launch sources without compromise.
