Mother of Four Dies After Car Crashes Into Private Pool in Queens

Alison Rahmani, a 40-year-old mother of four from the Bukharian community in Whitestone, Queens, New York, died Friday morning after her car veered off the road under unclear circumstances. The vehicle struck a tree and a parked Honda before plunging into a private swimming pool in a residential yard. Rahmani was rescued from the car before police arrived, who attempted lifesaving measures. A family source stated she did not drown and even managed to call for help after the accident, but she later died en route to the hospital where her death was confirmed.

Rahmani worked as a math teacher and coordinator at a local school. Nassau County police are investigating the incident. Her funeral is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. today. The Irving Place Minyan, an Orthodox synagogue in Woodmere, New York, announced her death Friday afternoon. Her husband, Matthew Rahmani, serves as the synagogue's president. Nassau County police told the New York Post that officers tried to save her life before she was transported to a nearby hospital.
