Stabbing Attack in Jordan Valley Injures Man, Suspect Flees and IDF Launches Manhunt

A stabbing attack occurred on Sunday morning in the village of Auja in the Jordan Valley, where a 24-year-old man was moderately injured. According to reports, the victim and several other young people had entered the village to shop at a well-known store when an assailant suddenly attacked them, stabbing the 24-year-old before fleeing the scene.

Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA), assisted by IDF medical forces, provided treatment and evacuated the victim to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. The victim was conscious and in moderate condition upon evacuation. Eyewitnesses reported that the attacker, described as a young man, stabbed the victim, discarded the knife, and escaped.

Following the attack, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an extensive manhunt, setting up roadblocks around Auja and collecting security camera footage from the store to trace the suspect's escape route. A senior security official in the Jordan Valley told Channel 14 that the search and containment efforts are ongoing.

The Israel Police confirmed they are investigating the stabbing incident and are working alongside the IDF in the search for the attacker. The circumstances of the attack remain under examination as security forces continue their operations in the area.
