Vizhnitz Rabbinical Court Orders Cancellation of Building Lease for Haredi High School in Bnei Brak

A significant dispute has erupted in the Vizhnitz housing complex in Bnei Brak over the leasing of a building within the community for a Haredi high school. The Vizhnitz Rabbinical Court and religious authority, known as the World Center, issued a stern letter to all Vizhnitz Hasidim and residents, demanding the cancellation of the lease and resolution of the crisis. The letter expressed deep concern about leasing the building to an institution affiliated with groups that the community's rabbis have historically warned against, emphasizing the importance of preserving the neighborhood's sanctity as established by revered leaders such as Rabbi Aharon of Vizhnitz and Rabbi Moshe of Vizhnitz.

Following the revelation, the Vizhnitz Chief Rabbi, Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, son of the Vizhnitz Rebbe, and the head of the rabbinical court, Rabbi Moshe Shaul Klein, summoned the management of the 'Union of Vizhnitz Institutions,' which holds the building's lease. They issued a direct order to immediately take all necessary steps to annul the lease. The management agreed to comply fully without delay.

However, the letter also noted legal complexities arising at this stage, prompting a special session of the rabbinical court to review the matter thoroughly. The court provided guidance to the union's management and appointed a special action committee to oversee the process until the lease cancellation is finalized.

The rabbinical court urged the community to support the effort through prayer and warned against unilateral actions that contradict the guidance of their leaders. They expressed hope to resolve the issue peacefully and securely but indicated that if public protest becomes necessary, an official announcement will be made. The letter was signed by the members of the Vizhnitz Rabbinical Court in Bnei Brak.
