Dan Oturu Expected Back in Israel for Hapoel Tel Aviv Final Prep
Hapoel Tel Aviv is set to get a major boost before the championship series, as center Dan Oturu is expected to land in Israel on Tuesday and immediately join team practices. Oturu had already returned to Israel before flying back to Athens because of the Iranian attack, and he is now fully fit.
Even so, he has not played for more than a month. Coach Dimitris Itoudis will decide whether to use him during the series, but Oturu is available for the team’s frontcourt.
Hapoel will also have forward Tai Odiase back in full training, giving Itoudis another option inside. By contrast, Antonio Blakeney will not return to Israel. He is still dealing with an injury and has effectively ended his season.
