Wounded 401st Brigade Commander Tells Troops He Is Recovering and Wants Back in Combat

Col. Meir Biderman, the commander of the 401st Brigade, sent a message to his soldiers from the hospital after being seriously wounded last week by a Hezbollah drone strike. In his note, he said he had been taken away from them suddenly, but emphasized that he is fine, recovering and getting stronger.

Biderman framed his injury as part of the life of a fighter defending the country. He told his troops, “I strengthen you, embrace you and am with you in spirit,” adding that he is already waiting to rejoin them on the battlefield.
