Jewish Rioters Vandalize and Torch Heavy Equipment in South Hebron Hills
In the early hours between Thursday and Friday, Israeli forces were deployed to the Susya area in the southern Hebron Hills following reports of Jewish rioters setting fire to heavy machinery and spraying graffiti in Wadi Raham. Upon arrival, the military found the burnt vehicles and graffiti bearing slogans such as "Mutual Responsibility" and "Greetings from the Shilo Bloc Raids." The suspects fled before the army's arrival, and no arrests have been made so far. The IDF condemned the acts and called on law enforcement to hold the perpetrators accountable.
Simultaneously, in Jenin, an armed assailant wielding a knife attempted to stab an IDF soldier, Nitzan Shapira, during an operation by the Paratroopers Brigade's 890th Battalion aimed at arresting terror suspects. The attacker, identified as Fathi Hazem, son of Ra'ad Hazem who carried out the Dizengoff shooting attack in April 2022, was shot and killed by the soldier. No Israeli forces were injured in the incident.
Additionally, two days prior in the Nuseirat area, the IDF eliminated Zubahi Sami Mahmoud Shehatos, a Hamas military commander involved in the October 7 massacre and the captivity of numerous hostages. He also participated in the release ceremony of surviving hostages handed over to the Red Cross. These events occur amid ongoing violent clashes in the West Bank and international criticism of the situation.
