Israeli National Security Minister Inspects High-Security Prison Holding Most Dangerous Female Terrorists

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir conducted a special inspection tour on Wednesday at Damon Prison, the high-security facility housing the most dangerous female terrorists in Israel. Accompanied by C14 English reporters who received exclusive access, Ben-Gvir reviewed the strict prison conditions and disciplinary enforcement within the women's wing.

During the visit, the minister confronted one inmate who identified herself as a member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization. Ben-Gvir also recounted the case of an Arab female terrorist imprisoned there who lured a 15-year-old Jewish boy to Ramallah and brutally murdered him, reportedly mocking his final moments. Prison staff confirmed the harshness and cruelty exhibited by the inmates.

The female prisoners expressed strong complaints about the severe detention conditions, with one describing the situation as "very difficult" in Arabic. Ben-Gvir welcomed these grievances, declaring that the era of lenient "hotel-like" prison conditions is over. He recalled a visit two years ago when an inmate complained about a lack of perfume, emphasizing that Israeli prisons no longer offer any comforts.

Regarding the death penalty law for terrorists promoted by his party, Ben-Gvir stressed its importance as a key deterrent to prevent future attacks. He cited data and conversations with terrorists indicating their fear of execution and acknowledgment that the security equation has fundamentally changed. The minister also referenced surviving ten assassination attempts in recent years, attributing them to his firm and uncompromising stance against terrorism.
