IDF and Shin Bet Reveal Hamas Uses Gaza Hospital for Interrogations and Torture

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet have disclosed intelligence indicating that Hamas is exploiting the Al-Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, Gaza, to conduct security interrogations and torture. According to the information, the second floor of the outpatient clinics in the Yassin building, along with an adjacent structure formerly used as offices, a cafeteria, and a prayer room, have been converted into interrogation centers for Hamas's internal security and military intelligence units.

Patients and hospital staff have reportedly witnessed a permanent presence of Hamas operatives, some masked, within the hospital complex. Hamas security forces have intensified their activities, employing intimidation, interrogations, and torture to enforce their control. This escalation is attributed to perceived erosion of public support among Gaza residents and fears of losing authority.

The IDF condemned Hamas's use of civilian infrastructure and medical facilities for military purposes, stating it violates international law. Israeli officials warned that Hamas's actions harm spaces intended to serve the civilian population of Gaza.
