Israel Sends Additional 5 Tons of Medical Aid to Colombia After Earthquake

Israel is dispatching an additional shipment of five tons of medical equipment to Colombia to provide emergency medical support following a severe earthquake. The shipment is scheduled to leave on Saturday night, coinciding with ongoing efforts by an Israeli rescue and humanitarian aid delegation already operating in Colombia. This joint mission, coordinated by Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Home Front Command, arrived in Colombia about a week ago to assist with the disaster response.

The new aid delivery is being sent under the guidance of Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. The earthquake caused significant destruction, including building collapses and widespread distress among the population. Foreign Minister Sa'ar emphasized Israel's commitment to stand by Colombia and its people, stating, "Israel will continue to stand alongside Colombia, its friend, and the Colombian people and assist them to the best of its ability."
