France Blocks Israeli Defense Displays at Eurosatory Despite Compliance
Israeli exhibitors at the Eurosatory defense fair in France were shocked this morning to find their defensive weapons displays blocked off with wooden boards placed by the French government. The move followed recent French instructions limiting Israel to exhibiting only defensive weapons at the Paris-area show, after Israeli strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon, which France views as a close regional ally.
According to the report, Israel had met the preconditions set by France, but French President Emmanuel Macron's government nonetheless ordered organizers to fully bar Israel from presenting its wares at the prominent exhibition. The display that had been approved was then sealed off overnight by the fair's management under French direction.
