Israeli Defense Stands Closed at Paris Arms Fair Again
The Israeli Defense Ministry said overnight that the organizers of the Eurosatory arms exhibition in Paris blocked off the booths of Israeli defense companies with wooden boards.
According to the ministry spokesperson, the companies had met what it described as the “outrageous” requirements set by the French government and were displaying only defensive weapons systems. Even so, the booths were shut down.
The ministry called the move “cynical, unequal and unsurprising,” saying it was intended to exclude Israeli technology from an international exhibition. It added that the technology’s quality is proven daily across the Middle East.
The ministry said it would keep promoting Israeli defense exports worldwide, despite what it described as French efforts to conceal Israel’s technological superiority.
