Israel Entertainment Faces Backlash Over Controversial Post on Dudu Faruk's Piercing

The Instagram page "Israel Entertainment" sparked outrage after posting about a piercing done by actor and singer Uri Komay, known as "Dudu Faruk," in a private area of his body. The post, which remains online as of the article's publication, drew sharp criticism from followers and parents concerned about the young audience that follows the page. One parent, network personality Hananel Ohana, who has four children, expressed his shock, saying, "It's really disturbing to know my daughter is exposed to this. I love you, but this is irresponsible." His comment quickly received thousands of likes.

Other commenters questioned the necessity of sharing such content, especially given the presence of children among the page's followers. Some demanded the page be shut down, citing the large number of minors exposed to inappropriate material. Another user criticized the page's priorities, highlighting her own struggle to gain attention for her personal story as a stabbing attack survivor from Jerusalem at age 16. She invited "Israel Entertainment" to review her page and suggested they focus on stories that truly need exposure.

This controversy follows a major ownership change at "Israel Entertainment." In July, Merit Fund, led by Wiz founder Assaf Rappaport and other investors, acquired 60% of the digital group for 48 million shekels, valuing the company at about 80 million shekels. The founders, brothers David and Shlomo Saar, remain involved, and the group continues to operate independently.
