Israeli Air Force Kills Several Hamas Leaders in Rare Gaza Strike
The Israeli Air Force carried out a significant and unusual airstrike deep inside the Gaza Strip, targeting the improvised Hamas police headquarters in central Gaza City. At least nine individuals were killed in the precise missile attack, including several senior Hamas figures. Among the casualties was Faten al-Sakhar, a rare female senior Hamas official who headed the group's women's police force. Other notable figures killed included Ibrahim Tamraz, a Hamas operative and former prisoner released in a previous hostage exchange, and Othman Abu Samaan, also known as Abu Bilal, a member of Hamas' internal enforcement apparatus. The strike marked a rare and forceful blow to Hamas' internal security mechanisms in Gaza.
