Israeli Prison Authorities Conduct Major Raids on Bikri and Eyal Nagar Crime Cells

The Israel Prison Service (IPS) carried out an extensive operation this week targeting inmates linked to major crime organizations led by Bikri and Eyal Nagar. The raids took place across multiple correctional facilities nationwide, focusing on cells and wings housing prisoners affiliated with these groups.

Elite units including Metzada, the Prison Police, Nachshon, and intelligence teams participated in the coordinated searches, aiming to disrupt criminal activities orchestrated from inside the prisons. The operation also extended beyond prison walls, with the Ma'oz unit enforcing restrictions on six electronically monitored individuals connected to organized crime.

During the searches, authorities confiscated illegal items such as suspected drugs, improvised knives, and prescription pills. All seized materials were handed over for further investigation. The IPS emphasized that this action is part of an ongoing effort to reduce the influence and operational capabilities of criminal organizations within and outside prison facilities.

The Prison Service pledged to continue its combined operational, intelligence, and supervisory measures to prevent the possession of contraband, enforce monitoring conditions, and strengthen governance within prisons.
