Maccabi Tel Aviv is preparing for the 2026/2027 basketball season, with the first foreign players already arriving in Israel for preseason training. On August 19, 2026, club CEO Avi Ben Tal appeared on Sport 5's news segment to discuss the team's outlook and ticket sales. Ben Tal expressed strong confidence in the squad built by Claudio Coldebella and Oded Katash, describing it as well-constructed and balanced. Despite this, Maccabi Tel Aviv has achieved nearly 7,900 season ticket renewals, representing about 98% renewal rate. The club plans to open ticket sales to a waiting list of over 5,500 fans starting Sunday, followed by general public sales. Ben Tal described the current sales figures as very positive.
