Yair Lapid Outlines 'Together' Party Foreign Policy, Highlights Saudi Arabia Deal as Key Goal
Opposition leader Yair Lapid presented the foreign policy objectives of his party, 'Together,' criticizing the current Israeli government's handling of diplomatic affairs. Lapid attributed the ongoing political crisis not only to external circumstances but also to what he described as negligence, arrogance, and amateurism by the Israeli government.
He outlined six principles aimed at repairing and redirecting Israel's foreign relations. These include restoring and improving ties with the United States and Europe, revitalizing connections with the Jewish diaspora, and strengthening regional integration through key countries such as Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. Lapid specifically identified reaching an agreement with Saudi Arabia as a central goal of his foreign policy agenda.
