Satmar Rebbe Opens Elul Season with Festive Dance and Summer Camp Visits in the Catskills

The Satmar Rebbe recently inaugurated the Elul season with a series of spirited events at the Hasidic summer camps in the Catskill Mountains. During his visit, the Rebbe laid the cornerstone for a large new building and danced enthusiastically with community leaders, known as the "negidim." He also visited the girls' summer camp, delivering a sacred discourse to inspire the attendees.

Simultaneously, thousands of Bobov-45 Hasidim gathered at the community's summer camp in the Catskills to mark the start of the month of mercy and repentance. The event took place in a specially rented large hall where participants engaged in intensive Torah study. At the conclusion, the Bobov Rebbe distributed plums to all attendees as a symbolic gesture.

In other notable Hasidic community events, the Karlin-Stolin Rebbe addressed the violent attack in Jerusalem, praising the Hasidim who defended a wedding celebration but condemning violence as contrary to Torah values. Meanwhile, the Mendelborna Rebbe visited Ramat Beit Shemesh, distributing honey and discussing plans for community expansion with local leaders.
