Ibrahim Mandalawi Fatally Shot in Manda Village, Another Man Injured

On the night of August 18, 2026, Ibrahim Mandalawi, 34, was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle in the Arab village of Manda. The incident occurred around 22:09, when emergency services received reports of two men shot during a shooting attack. Mandalawi, known to police, was found unconscious with severe penetrating wounds. Despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, he was pronounced dead after being transported to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. A second man, aged 37, was moderately injured and also taken to Rambam for treatment.

Magen David Adom paramedic Ali Mandia described the chaotic scene and the advanced medical interventions performed on Mandalawi and the other victim. Police launched a manhunt for suspects and began collecting evidence to investigate the circumstances of the shooting. Authorities indicated the motive is believed to be criminal in nature. The investigation is ongoing in the northern Israeli Arab community.
