Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi Responds to Likud Primary Results, Cites Internal Opposition

Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi addressed the final results of the Likud party primaries on Tuesday morning, where he secured the 13th position in votes but was placed 21st on the party's Knesset list. Karhi expressed gratitude to the Likud members who voted for him while criticizing those who opposed him during the campaign. He attributed some setbacks to "interested parties" displeased with his efforts to open the communications market to competition, describing their actions as a "minor blow to the wing." Despite this, he emphasized the support from determined and ideological Likud members who backed him throughout the process.

Karhi also conveyed a message of unity and faith, stating that "God will decide everyone's place" and calling on all to rally behind Likud and the national camp for the upcoming general elections. He extended support to colleagues who did not make the list, acknowledging their contributions to Israel, and congratulated the winners.
