Zoglovek Expands Globally by Acquiring Majority Stake in Thai Plant-Based Meat Factory
Zoglovek, an Israeli food company, has taken its first international step by acquiring 70% of Plant & Bean, a plant-based meat substitute factory in Thailand. The factory spans 3,000 square meters, with the remaining 30% owned by Innobic, a subsidiary of Thailand's state-owned energy and oil corporation PTT. The acquisition aims to double the factory's size and add new production lines to supply products both in Israel and globally.
Alongside this expansion, Zion Bels was appointed as the active chairman of the Zoglovek group. Bels expressed pride in joining the company at this pivotal moment, highlighting Zoglovek's clear strategic vision for growth and innovation. He emphasized that combining Zoglovek's manufacturing expertise and long-standing tradition with the new international platform in Thailand will position the company as a competitive global leader.
Eli Zoglovek described the deal as a historic milestone fulfilling a long-term vision. He noted that the partnership with Innobic and PTT provides an advanced production infrastructure and a genuine global platform to lead the plant-based food market worldwide.
