Unseasonal Rainfall Subsides as Temperatures Slightly Drop Across Israel
After two days of unprecedented August rainfall mainly in the Jordan Valley, eastern Samaria, and the Judean Desert, Israel is experiencing a slight decrease in temperatures, according to the Meteorological Service. On Tuesday, temperatures are expected to be somewhat lower than usual for this time of year, especially in mountainous and inland areas, providing some relief from the summer heat. Localized rain showers may still occur in eastern parts of the country during the afternoon.
The trend is expected to continue on Wednesday, with no significant changes in heat levels and generally comfortable weather for mid-August. Light drizzle might be possible along the coastal plain in the morning, but heat stress will remain moderate. Forecasted temperatures for major cities include Jerusalem at 17-29°C, Tel Aviv-Yafo at 25-31°C, Haifa at 23-30°C, Kiryat Shmona at 22-34°C, Safed at 18-29°C, Tiberias at 23-34°C, Ashdod at 23-31°C, Beersheba at 21-33°C, Mitzpe Ramon at 19-32°C, and Eilat at 26-38°C.
