Yeshivat Hatzitim Releases Memorial Prayer Clip Honoring Yehuda Sherman
Yeshivat Hatzitim has released a musical and prayer clip titled "Horeni Hasdercha" dedicated to the memory of Yehuda Shmuel Sherman, a student who died sanctifying the commandment of settling the land at the Shuva Israel farm in northern Samaria. The clip combines melodies, prayers, and visuals that reflect the yeshiva's story of facing challenges with steadfast faith and deep connection to the Land of Israel.
The production features a renewed tune from the Admor of Piaszczyna expressing the prayer "Horeni Hasdercha," alongside "Shirat Ha'asavim" from Rabbi Nachman of Breslov's melodies. It concludes with the song "Shuva Has Ad Matai," a plea for divine comfort. The yeshiva explained that the clip symbolizes their ongoing prayer for guidance and strength to overcome life's trials, inspired by Yehuda Sherman's courageous and joyful faith.
The yeshiva extended condolences and blessings to Yehuda's family, especially CEO Yehoshua Sherman and his wife Sima, wishing that Yehuda's pure soul be bound in the bundle of life. The musical production was led by Yigal Stettner, with Avishai Yashar on drums and Yedidya Klein on clarinet. Uri Cohen handled mixing and mastering, while the script was created by the yeshiva team and Maudi Alexelsi, who also managed filming and editing. Itiel Atlo served as the executive producer.
