Former Hapoel Haifa Prospect Lior Rokach Retires from Football at 23

Lior Rokach, once regarded as a top talent from Hapoel Hadera's youth system and a player in their senior Premier League team, has decided to retire from professional football at the age of 23. After Hapoel Hadera's relegation, Rokach transferred to Hapoel Haifa, where his father, Yaakov Rokach, serves as a key aide to club owner Yoav Katz. Rokach joined Hapoel Haifa's preseason training camp this summer but was dissatisfied with the contract offer he received afterward. Unable to reach an agreement with the club, he chose to end his football career.

This decision surprised many, as Rokach was considered one of the most promising young players in Israeli football. Instead of continuing his sports career, he plans to move to the United States to pursue business ventures unrelated to football. Rokach aims to start a new professional chapter off the field, marking a significant and unusual shift for a player expected to advance in top leagues.
