National Jewish Forum in Likud Opposes Amir Ohana Ahead of Primaries

Just before the Likud party primaries, the National Jewish Forum within Likud released a recommended list of 12 candidates for supporters to vote for, notably excluding Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana. The forum urged its thousands of supporters not to vote for Ohana, who is a senior Likud figure and currently chairs the Knesset. The list, titled "Settlement, Judaism, Values," includes prominent members such as Yariv Levin, Miri Regev, Eli Cohen, and Keti Shitrit, among others. Alongside the national list, the forum also recommended four candidates for regional districts, including Erez Tadmor for Jerusalem, Yehuda and Shfela; Dor Harlap for Dan and Tel Aviv; Moshe Benjamin Peretz for the Negev; and Shuki Yehoshua Ohana for the Galilee and the Valleys. Another notable omission from the recommended list is MK Tali Gottlieb, also a prominent contender in the primaries. The forum emphasized to voters that they must select exactly 12 candidates to avoid invalidating their ballots.
